One Housing at London Pride 2022

Around 40 colleagues from Riverside and One Housing, together with a few residents from our partners Tonic Housing, marched with their own float through central London to commemorate Pride and celebrate LGBTQI+ rights in the UK.

This year’s was a special Pride, the first one after the pandemic and the 50th anniversary of UK’s first Pride in 1972. It was also the first time One Housing joined with its own float.

We marched from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square, before finishing at Whitehall Palace, surrounded by music, flamboyant costumes and cheering crowds. It was great to be back at Pride in person with our LGBTQI+ community. Everyone had a wonderful time.

At One Housing, we are committed to diversity and inclusion and taking part in the Pride Parade was a celebration of that. This year, over 1.5 million attended the event making it the biggest Pride ever.

We want to thank all the people who marched with us, and the organising LGBTQI+ committee who worked hard to make the event a success.
