The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 govern how we select and award contracts for works, supplies and services, above certain financial values or thresholds
The government has recently announced new thresholds that will apply to contracts falling within the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The new thresholds apply from 1st January 2022 and, for the first time, include VAT. The inclusion of VAT has been introduced following our departure from the EU which had a specific arrangement with the Government Procurement Agreement to exclude VAT.

As always, the thresholds apply to the aggregate value of the contract. The inclusion of VAT for the first time means the thresholds have effectively been reduced.
