We would first like to offer reassurance to our customers and their families that we are acting quickly and following all advice from Government and the Care Quality Commission in relation to Coronavirus. That means we’re putting all appropriate measures in place to protect the safety and welfare of our customers.
To help mitigate any risk of coronavirus being brought into our care homes, and in line with Government guidance, we have, sadly, had to temporarily stop visits from friends and family. Only essential visitors, for example, doctors, nurses and maintenance staff, in addition to regular care staff, are now able to come into our schemes.
We of course understand that this is likely to be disappointing and unsettling as we know how important it is for residents to have contact with their loved ones. As residents' emotional wellbeing is equally as important as their physical health, our staff are helping people maintain vital contact by keeping in touch by phone or digitally.
