We’ve signed up as early adopters to the National Housing Federation’s Together with Tenants campaign, which aims to strengthen the relationship between housing associations and their tenants and residents.
In delivering our new Corporate Plan, we are on a journey to improve our services and therefore it is important to continuously listen and involve you. We want you to have a better experience when dealing with us and the ability to shape our services. The Together with Tenants approach will feed into the ways we are looking to Improve your customer experience.
The Federation has drafted a four-point plan which explains the changes that we and other housing associations are considering making with the aim of creating a stronger, more balanced relationship with tenants and residents.
They want to hear from you so that we can take this plan forward together. The consultation about the four-point plan and how changes should be put into action is open to tenants, residents, housing associations and stakeholders.
The four actions are:
A new requirement in the Code of Governance for boards to be accountable to their tenants and residents.
A new charter setting out what tenants and residents can expect from their housing association landlord.
Tenant and resident oversight and scrutiny of the charter with a report on how their landlord is doing against charter commitments.
A closer link with regulation.
What do you think?
