One Housing welcomes new senior appointments

    One Housing today announces six senior appointments. The new appointees include three non-executives to the Group Board and three members of the Executive Team.

    Non-Executive Board Members Julie Price, Caroline Corby and Stewart Davenport will bring a range of skills from high street branding and customer service to managing large scale affordable development pipelines.

    The London and the South East based association has also recruited two new executive directors. Tony Blows joins as Chief Information Officer, with responsibility for ICT, alongside Mike Johnson as Group Director for Development. HR Director Ria Bailes has also been promoted to the board from within as Group Director for People and Change.

    One Housing’s Chief Executive, Richard Hill, welcomed the new appointments saying:

    “Our core services, affordable housing and social care, are in urgent demand. To deliver the best services for our customers, we are working hard to modernise and are in the early stages of organisational transformation that will be partly driven new Executive Team members. The wealth of experience brought by the new Non-Executive Board Members will guide this process to give customers an even better service offer and help more people find a One Housing home that is right for them.”


    About the new appointees:

    Caroline Corby – Non-Executive Director
    Caroline has built a wide range of experience across the private and public sector. She started her career in the city specialising in private equity where she also served on a number of private sector boards across a range of industries. In 2007 she joined the Board of London Probation Trust (LPT) and she served as Chair of LPT from 2012 until July 2014. As well as being a member of the Architects Registration Board, Caroline is also a Non-Executive Director of the Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service (known as Cafcass) and the Criminal Cases Review Commissions and she is a member of the Parole Board management committee. She also chairs interim order panels for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and chairs the General Optical Council’s Investigations Committee.

    Stewart Davenport – Non-Executive Director
    Stewart recently retired as Managing Director of Lovell Partnerships Ltd. He is a very experienced development and construction professional, having overseen a development pipeline of around 3,000 homes every year for Lovell.

    Julie Price – Non-Executive Director
    Julie is the highly respected Director of IT and Transformation for high street retailer White Stuff. She brings significant brand and customer engagement expertise. Before joining White Stuff, Julie worked for a number of high profile companies including Ann Summers, TJX and Mars Group.

    Ria Bailes – Group Director for People and Change
    Ria has a mixture of public and private sector experience ranging from Travis Perkins and BUPA to six years at the HCA. Before taking the role of Director of HR at One Housing four years ago, she led a major change programme at the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime following the establishment of the Police & Crime Commissioners.

    Tony Blows – Chief Information Officer
    Tony is currently IT Director at Sovereign Housing Association and has a strong track record in developing effective technology solutions for Sovereign and, before that, for Spectrum Housing Group.

    Mike Johnson – Group Director for Development
    Mike joins One Housing from Hyde Housing where he was development operations director. He has been in housing throughout his career, starting at the London Borough of Harrow. Since then he has held senior development roles with Savills, L&Q, Metropolitan Housing and Tower Homes.


    The One Housing board is chaired by Anthony Mayer. It consists of nine other Non-Executive Directors with a range of backgrounds and experience. The Group Chief Executive, Richard Hill, and Chief Financial Officer, Paul Rickard, also sit on the board.
