We were delighted to welcome Kate Henderson, Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation to present a session on Together with Tenants at our Board Away Day on Thursday 23 May 2019. One Housing has signed up as an ‘early adopter’ of the National Housing Federation initiative, which is aimed at rebalancing the relationship between landlord and customers.
In delivering our new Corporate Plan, we are on a journey to improve our services and therefore it is important to continuously listen and involve our residents and customers. We want them to have a better experience when dealing with us and have the ability to shape our services.
At the session, our Board and resident panel members learnt about the work we have started to do to ensure our values are embedded across the organisation.
Richard Hill, Chief Executive said: “It was a privilege to have Kate join us at our Board Away Day to discuss the importance of how housing associations can create a stronger, more balanced relationship with tenants and residents. As an early adopter we are looking forward to testing the new concepts and sharing best practice with other housing association ‘early adopters’.”
Ceilia Gresswell, West Resident Panel Chair explained: “The session was an opportunity for change; seized by both hands. Residents were involved, which is really important and we were moving forward together in the discussions.”
