Depending on where you live and on your circumstances, there are a number of options available to you if you want to move home:
If you have a permanent tenancy with us, you can do a home swap or mutual exchange with another One Housing resident, a tenant of another housing association, or a council tenant.
You can apply for the scheme in a few steps and find thousands of people who want to mutual exchange on HomeSwapper. Once you have found a property you want to exchange with, you will need to fill in our homeswapper form and email it to email@example.com.
You can also use our Home Connections choice-based letting scheme to transfer to another of our properties. We only have a small number of properties available each year, so it may take several years to move this way. Mutual exchange is normally a quicker way to move home.
Housing Moves is the Mayor of London’s scheme which helps social tenants in London relocate to other parts of the capital. All council tenants and housing association tenants can apply for this scheme as long as they have a secure or assured tenancy.
To find out more visit the Housing Moves website.
Please remember that you need to let us know about your move at least four weeks in advance, so that we can end your tenancy. To do that, please fill in our notice to quit form and either email it to firstname.lastname@example.org post it to 44 Palmers Road, Suttons Wharf South, London E2 0TA. Alternatively, you can call us on 0300 123 9966.
