Care scheme video gets to the heart of lockdown

A lockdown video created at one of our care homes is proving a popular watch on YouTube.
The minute-long recording features the residents of our Baycroft scheme in Great Baddow in Essex, where we provide residential, nursing and dementia care.
Their heart-warming message of reassurance to their relatives and gratitude to the staff who are taking care of them during these difficult times has had more than 900 views to date.
“Our residents wanted to let their families know that they were well and thinking of them, but that they were also in good spirits and being well cared for,” explains Kathy Dale, Lifestyle and Wellbeing Leader at the scheme.
“We decided to make a video, involving as many residents as possible. We all had such fun making it and practising the lines; there were quite a few retakes!”
In the video, the residents thank the care team for keeping them safe and advise everyone to “keep smiling”.
“We know this is different, for us and you,” they say, “but we are all working together to make the country well again.”
