Loss of heating at Kelson House, Isle of Dogs
We're aware of the heating failure at Kelson House. Unfortunately we're unable to access the plant room to fix the boiler due to a health and safety risk in the room. Works to make the plant room safe will be completed on Tuesday 23 October, we will then access the room on Wednesday 24 October to remedy the boiler.
We are providing temporary heaters to all households but we need to limit this to two per households. Please contact us on 0300 123 9966 to request these and we will deliver these to you as soon as possible.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused and continues to cause.
One Housing Youth Services team helps young people get a good start in life. We run a wide range of projects and programmes including exciting and engaging opportunities to build young people’s skills and confidence.
We aim to enhance the growth of independence in our young people and increase the skills and long term prospects of our members and their families. We provide new experiences for our families and give them new and exciting opportunities.
Our work has a focus in providing educational, safe and, of course, fun programmes to help young people learn and achieve. We apply this to our practice alongside the values of One Housing; Collaboration, Ambition, Respect, Excellence and Engagement.
We run after school sessions 5 days a week, and full day programmes during school holidays.
Our programmes cover:
During holiday programmes we run off-site trips. In the past we’ve visited Southend, Thorpe Park and Bournemouth to name a few; we’ve also been water skiing, kayaking and laser tag, among many other fun and exciting activities. We even visited the set of the recent film, Paddington 2 – where we met some of the cast and got a behind the scenes glimpse into the making of the film.
Our programmes are bespoke and tailored to our members – so if there is a particular session that you are interested in, then let us know.
Currently, we are running from four different community centres in London:
