Gas Safety Week

The sixth annual of Gas Safety Week is taking place next week, from 18th-24th September, with more and more individuals and organisations supporting the nation-wide awareness campaign.

We are proud to be supporting Gas Safety Week 2017, taking place 18th – 24th September.

Gas Safety Week is an annual safety week to raise awareness of gas safety and the importance of taking care of your gas appliances. It is co-ordinated by Gas Safe Register, the official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas.

23 million households in the United Kingdom use gas for heating, hot water and cooking, yet we take it for granted that our boilers, cookers and gas fires are safe. Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning.

With winter just around the corner, having a reliable boiler is essential. We check all gas appliances in rented properties and issue a valid gas safety certificate every 12 months. If you are a homeowner, you are responsible for organising your own gas safety checks. You can find a Gas Safe registered engineer by visiting gassaferegister.co.uk.
